Mid Summer Brandenburgs - Summer Residency 1st - 3rd August 2006, Firth Hall
 
Trevor Pinnock and the EBE came together for the first time to rehearse and perform Bach's Brandenburg Concertos in preparation for Trevor's 60th birthday celebrations. This music residency, hosted by The University of Sheffield and sponsored by Hammerson Properties UK, gave the public an opportunity to observe Trevor working with his new ensemble in open rehearsals. Audiences were able to meet the musicians and attend lectures by internationally known Bach specialist Professor John Butt. In the afternoon of Thursday 3rd August Children up to 11 years met Trevor and the EBE musicians. See photos from the Little Brandenburgs afternoon.

As a climax to the summer residency Trevor and the ensemble traveled to the Lake District to open the 2006 Lake District Summer Music Festival with a first performance of the Brandenburg Concertos.
