Birthday Concert Reception at Sheffield City Hall

Following the City Hall concert around 100 guests were invited to join Trevor Pinnock and the EBE musicians for a champagne reception where the 60th birthday celebrations continued.

Sponsored by Steelworks Studios with champagne supplied by a Friend of the EBE the party was held in the City Hall’s Memorial Hall where friends, supporters and other guests including, MP Nick Clegg, the Lord Mayor of Sheffield (Councillor Mrs Jackie Drayton) and Sheffield Director of Culture Dr Ann Gosse, enjoyed  canapés and cake until well after midnight.

Sir Bob Kerslake, Sheffield City Council’s Chief Executive offered formal but heartfelt thanks to all the EBE’s sponsors before Peter Cropper, Artistic Director for Music in the Round led guests in a traditional birthday toast.
