Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS - Kuala Lumpur

On April 16, the Asian tour began in Kuala Lumpur with a performance in the impressive surrounds of the Petronas Towers. The sell out concert in the Dewan Filharmonik Pertronas (DFP) was a great success, and very well received by an enthusistic audience. One audience member commented, 'It was an excellent concert and the rich sounds of the stimulating Baroque music will be remembered for a long time to come for everyone who was at the concert that evening.'

Before the concert, Sheffield Sponsors and VIPs met at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for a pre-concert reception. A post-concert reception was held in the balcony area of the DFP where Trevor Pinnock and the EBE signed autographs and mingled with guests. Both receptions were sponsored by Creative Sheffield and South Yorkshire Tourism.
