Marie Desgoutte - Biography
Marie Desgoutte, born in Paris in 1980 studied violin in Germany at the Conservatories of Nürnberg and Freiburg. In the early part of her studies she was drawn towards playing on period instruments. Her interest moved her to take up a post-graduate course in historic interpretation in Frankfurt under the guidance of Professor Petra Müllejans. She also took classes from Gottfried von der Goltz, Stanley Ritchie and Anne Schumann.
She is an enthusiastic chamber music player and is involved with groups such as Piano Trio and String Quartet on authentic instruments.
Currently, she is working with the Freiburger Barockorchester, the European Brandenburg Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra Freiburg and the Ensemble of Modern Music Surplus.
